Sexual Health Events

Sex! in the Dark

Sex in the Dark is a unique, no-holds-barred event where students can ask all their burning questions about sexual health, relationships, and intimacy in a safe, judgment-free environment. This AMA (Ask Me Anything) panel features sexual health experts ready to give honest answers to questions that may feel too awkward to ask elsewhere.

In this fishbowl-style event, you can remain anonymous or speak up aloud—whatever makes you most comfortable. Sex in the Dark is designed to encourage open dialogue, break down myths, and foster a campus culture where everyone can access reliable information and feel empowered to make informed choices about their health and relationships.

Take Back the Night

Take Back the Night is a powerful, annual event hosted by Wellness and Prevention dedicated to supporting survivors of sexual assault and raising awareness about violence prevention. This evening is a solemn ceremony of remembrance and an inspiring platform for activism.

Through candlelight vigils, survivor testimonies, and open community discussions, Take Back the Night creates a space for survivors to share their stories and receive the support of their peers and community members. Participants confront issues surrounding sexual violence, advocate for social change, and empower one another.

Whether you’re a survivor, an ally, or simply someone committed to a future free from violence, we invite you to join us in honoring resilience and promoting healing, hope, and positive change.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you make a garment?

Teams typically use fabric, sewing materials, and glue to construct their garments. Old clothes (dresses, t-shirts, shorts, etc.) may act as the base for the garment. Teams may paint condoms as they see fit. As we only supply the condoms, additional materials needed to construct the garment will need to be purchased by the designers.Who supplies the condoms?Wellness & Prevention Services will provide unwrapped, non-lubricated, colored male/external condoms donated by ONE Condom Company.

Why do I need a theme?

The purpose of Project Condom is to raise awareness about safer sexual health behaviors and issues and to decrease the stigma associated in an innovative way. While we hope that this event is fun and intriguing, it is important that each garment embodies an educational message for the program attendees.

Can I design a garment with other people?

YES! We strongly encourage collaboration among students to create garments for the event. This year, each team will consist of people already living together (including the model) . This can be roommates, suitemates, or housemates. Garments should be sponsored by a club, organization, fraternity, sorority, center, or class.

Does the model have to be a woman?

NO! Anyone is welcome to model a garment.

How will designers be recognized?

You will be asked to submit photos of your costume on the model. Images will be posted on social media and on our website. How will winners be recognized? The public will vote on garments based on creativity, connection to the event theme, sexual health message, design, and stage presence. Winners will receive a prize pack from ONE Condom Company. In addition, we will have a public vote this year!
