What to Expect

You will receive an email to your @appstate.edu email account with login instructions from itMatters (itmatters@preventionstrategies.com). The email may have been delivered before this notice.

  • The message will be tagged as an “external” email. Check your spam folder if you don’t see the message as scheduled.

  • You will receive reminder emails from the same sender until training is complete.

What to Know

  • Completing itMatters modules helps build well-being knowledge and skills for success in your first semester at App State.

  • Before beginning the modules, you will be asked to complete a survey about your health and well-being. This pre-survey is voluntary and anonymous. You may skip any or all questions and proceed directly to the required modules.

  • You can start and stop the modules and your progress will be saved.

  • Technical support will be available within each module.

  • It is recommended that you complete the itMatters modules on a computer. Using a mobile device may result in your progress not being saved correctly.

Computers are available at the libraries on the Boone and Hickory campuses.
