Emily (she/they) was raised in Newton, NC. After spending years in the restaurant industry, she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and Visual Arts from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is currently working towards her Master’s degree in Social Work here at Appalachian State, with a desire to eventually obtain her clinical license. She is a Wellness and Prevention Services student employee and works closely with the Mountaineer Recovery Community on campus. You may find her hiking, cooking, or picking up a new hobby when she isn't in class, doing homework, or working.
