Madison (she/her) was raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, and moved to Boone, NC to attend college at Appalachian State University in 2019. There she obtained her B.S. in Sociology with a concentration in Social Inequalities and a minor in Social Work. She is currently working on receiving her Masters in Social work concentrating in Communities and Organizations. She is interning with Wellness and Prevention Services and focusing on the "Substance use & Addictions" program here. She will be working with us on education and prevention in this area. She is super excited to be working with us this year as her passions involve helping individuals and studying the interconnectedness of being unhoused, mental illness, and substance use. After graduating in May 2025, she wants to move to the West Coast to create programs that benefit the populations she is passionate about. When she is not working or in class, she really likes painting and hiking.
