Nutrition Tours

Physical wellnessNutrition Tours are designed to enhance food shopping skills as a means to improve nutrition related behaviors. Sponsored by the Department of Wellness and Prevention Services and facilitated by the department’s Graduate Nutrition Intern, students will have the opportunity to navigate Publix or Roess Dining Hall to learn how to develop grocery shopping and food selection skills.

Grocery Store Tour

App State Grocery Store Tours are designed to enhance food shopping skills as a means to improve nutrition related behaviors. Sponsored by the Department of Wellness and Prevention Services and facilitated by the department’s graduate nutrition intern, students will have the opportunity to navigate Publix, and learn how to get the most nutrition for their money by buying smart, reading nutrition facts labels, and more!

*Note: transportation will not be provided.

Dining Hall Tour

App State Dining Hall Tours are designed to enhance à la carte dining skills as a means to improve nutrition-related behaviors. Sponsored by the Department of Wellness and Prevention Services and facilitated by the department’s graduate nutrition intern, students will have the opportunity to navigate Roess dining hall, and learn how to get the most nutrition for their meal plan by buying smart, making nutrition-focused modifications, and more!
