Grocery Store Tours (60 min.)
Appalachian State Grocery Store Tours are designed to enhance food shopping skills as a means to improve nutrition related behaviors. Facilitated by the department's Registered Dietitian and Wellness Coordinator, students will have the opportunity to have a guided tour of local grocery stores as a meals to increase raw fruit and vegetable intake, learn to read food labels, and utilize savings opportunities.

Move More: Eat Better (50-60 min.)
This presentation provides information about the importance of being physically active and maintaining healthy nutrition. Facilitated by members of WE CAN, students will have the opportunity to participate in a number of activities that will educate them about exercise guidelines, daily nutrition recommendations, and how to include wellness in their weekly schedules. Participants will also learn about on-campus physical activity and nutrition resources that are available to them.
